Moving from Teams Live Chat?

Point of Contact keeps what Live Chat gave you — a website widget answered by people in a Teams tab — and adds AI first, on a Foundry assistant you own; more than one domain, registration through your own External ID tenant and file submission for review are coming to Self-Hosted. Isolated in your subscription as a managed application, or Hosted (we operate it). Coming to the Azure Marketplace.

Point of Contact keeps the website widget answered by people in a Teams tab, and adds AI first, Foundry agents you own, more than one domain, registration and files.
What carries over from Live Chat?
The shape carries over, the data does not. What your team already does — a widget on your website, people answering it inside a Microsoft Teams tab, signing in with Teams SSO — works the same way here, so the change is a setup, not a retraining. Past Live Chat conversations do not migrate: there is no import, and Microsoft ends the service on 5 October 2026. Export anything you need to keep and plan the cut-over before that date.
