Choose how Point of Contact runs

The same Teams-native AI + human support, two ways to run it — both coming to the Azure Marketplace.

Managed Application

Point of Contact — Self‑Hosted

For teams where security and data residency decide.

A managed application coming to the Azure Marketplace. It deploys the complete stack into an Azure subscription the customer controls, with just-in-time publisher access the customer approves — and the Private plan removes the publisher's role entirely.

  • Conversations are stored on the customer's side of that boundary
  • Publisher access is just-in-time: customer-approved, time-boxed, logged
  • Signed updates that the customer chooses when to install
  • Private plan: negotiated flat fee, zero publisher role
See Self-Hosted pricing
SaaS

Point of Contact — Hosted

For teams that want the fastest start.

A transactable SaaS offer coming to the Azure Marketplace. We run the service; you bring your own Azure AI Foundry agents (required on every plan) — Microsoft bills your inference directly.

  • Live in minutes — nothing to operate or upgrade
  • You own the AI agents and models in your Azure AI Foundry
  • The full runtime: multi-handoff, availability controls, visitor sign-in, file sharing
  • Three plans with a published overflow rate per extra seat
See Hosted pricing

Not sure? Security- and data-residency-led teams choose Self‑Hosted; convenience- and speed-led teams choose Hosted. Talk it through with us.

"Hi! I have the full context. Let me handle the account adjustment."

The full transcript travels with every handoff — and an automatic AI summary is added when a conversation is handed to an AI agent with summarize-on-handoff enabled.

No dead air — the AI keeps helping while the visitor waits for a human.

Multi-step handoffs with auto-summary and hand-back are part of the full PointOfContactAI runtime — included with Point of Contact — Hosted.

Agent-to-Agent Transfer

Different AI specialists for different topics. Billing AI detects a technical issue and seamlessly transfers to the Technical AI.

AI-to-Human Handoff

When AI cannot resolve, full conversation history transfers instantly to a support agent working in Microsoft Teams.

Human-to-AI Return

Agents can transfer customers back to AI after resolving the complex part. Customers can always request a human again.

Microsoft Teams
Teams Integration

Fully Teams-native. Not a notification bridge.

The full solution is managed inside Microsoft Teams — claim, transfer, close, configure. No new console. Not a notification, not a link to another app: your support agents work entirely within Teams.

Other platforms send a Teams notification, then redirect agents to a separate web console. Point of Contact delivers the complete agent experience — queue management, conversation threads, transfers, admin configuration — all inside Teams.

Intercom — Notification in Teams, then opens separate Intercom app
Zendesk — Limited Teams plugin with basic features

Availability that matches how your team works

Gate human availability by a weekly business-hours schedule — with exceptions, holidays, and your timezone — or let live Microsoft Teams presence drive it. The AI is never gated: visitors always get answers.

Presence decides who is notified about a waiting visitor — it never hides the chat from visitors or assigns conversations for you.

Seven honored Teams presence states

Visitor Identity

Visitors who sign in, stay known

Anonymous chat is always the default. When a visitor chooses to sign in, the relationship persists — identity, history, and files.

Optional sign-in via Microsoft Entra External ID

Visitors can chat anonymously or sign in through Microsoft Entra External ID. Google, Facebook, and Apple sign-in work as identity providers your organization configures in its own External ID tenant.

History that follows the visitor

Signed-in visitors see their archived conversations across sessions and devices — no "start over" every time the tab closes.

A private file space, shared as chat

Each signed-in visitor gets a private per-user file space on Azure Blob Storage. Files travel both directions as chat bubbles — visitors share documents with agents, and agents share files back.

How It Works

From first contact to resolution

Intelligent routing ensures every conversation reaches the right endpoint — AI or human.

1

Customer Reaches Out

Customer starts a conversation via your website widget, web app, or direct link. Optionally authenticate with OAuth or start anonymously.

2

AI Agent Responds

Specialized AI agents handle the query based on topic — billing, technical, sales. Real-time word-by-word streaming with Adaptive Cards and interactive responses.

3

Seamless Handoff

When AI can't resolve, it hands off with full conversation context to an agent in Teams. Human agents can transfer back to AI or to another specialist — all in one session.

Compliance

Self-Hosted runs on your compliant cloud

The Self-Hosted managed application inherits the controls of the Azure subscription it lives in. Your policies, your auditors, your perimeter.

Your subscription, your controls

Point of Contact — Self-Hosted deploys into an Azure subscription you control. Your existing Azure policies, network rules, encryption settings, and audit tooling apply to the stack automatically — there is no second vendor environment to certify.

Built on Microsoft's certified cloud

The underlying Azure services are certified by Microsoft against standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA — those are Microsoft Azure's certifications, and your workloads run on that audited infrastructure.

No standing data-plane access

The publisher holds no standing access to your data plane — any elevation is just-in-time: you approve it, it is time-boxed, and every session is logged. Deny assignments block the publisher from your chat messages, keys, and secrets, and the Private plan removes the publisher's role entirely.

Unlike SaaS vendors who must independently certify each service, a Point of Contact — Self-Hosted deployment runs inside the Azure environment you already govern. Microsoft's certifications cover the platform; your controls cover the workload — and your auditors already know Azure.

Frequently asked questions

What is Point of Contact AI?
Point of Contact AI is an AI-powered customer support platform built on Microsoft Azure. It combines AI agents with seamless human handoff, all within Microsoft Teams. It comes as two offers, both coming to the Azure Marketplace: Point of Contact — Self-Hosted, a managed application deployed into an Azure subscription you control, and Point of Contact — Hosted, a SaaS service we operate where you bring your own Azure AI Foundry agents.
What is the difference between Self-Hosted and Hosted?
Self-Hosted deploys the complete stack into an Azure subscription the customer controls, with just-in-time publisher access the customer approves — and the Private plan removes the publisher's role entirely. It is the choice for teams where security and data residency decide. Hosted is for teams that want the fastest start: we run the service, and you bring your own Azure AI Foundry agents, so your Foundry does the model processing and Microsoft bills your inference directly. Conversation records on Hosted are stored in our service.
How does data isolation work on Self-Hosted?
Each Self-Hosted customer gets their own Azure Managed Application deployed into their subscription — dedicated Cosmos DB, Key Vault, SignalR Service, Azure Functions, and Static Web App instances, plus your own Azure AI Foundry resource and project — provisioned for you, or an existing Foundry project you connect. Conversations stay on your side of that boundary. The publisher holds no standing data-plane access: any elevation is just-in-time — you approve it, it is time-boxed, and it is logged.
Do our agents need to learn a new tool?
No. Your support agents work entirely within Microsoft Teams — the app they already use every day. They see customer conversations, manage queues, and handle handoffs without leaving Teams. SSO authentication means zero extra logins.
How does AI-to-human handoff work?
When the AI determines a customer needs human help (or the customer requests it), the full conversation context is instantly transferred to a human agent in Teams. The customer never repeats themselves, and the agent sees the complete AI conversation history.
What happens when our agents are offline?
On Point of Contact — Hosted you can gate human availability by a weekly business-hours schedule (with exceptions, holidays, and timezone) or by live Teams presence. The AI is never gated — outside business hours, visitors still get full AI support.
Can we embed the chat widget on our website?
Yes — a single script tag deploys a full-featured AI support widget on any website. It supports SSE streaming, adaptive cards, human handoff, and domain-whitelisted security via iframe isolation. Customize position, theme, and colors with data attributes.
What compliance certifications do you support?
A Self-Hosted deployment runs inside an Azure subscription you control, so it inherits the controls you already enforce there. The underlying Azure platform holds Microsoft's certifications (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA). The application itself uses Managed Identity RBAC, encryption at rest and in transit, PII-stripped telemetry, and audit logging.
How does pricing work?
Self-Hosted has one public plan with a seat-count box: pick your seats and the price follows the published ladder — 3 seats $49/mo, 6 seats $99/mo, 13 seats $199/mo, 20 seats $274/mo. Adding a seat never changes your plan, and there is no per-resolution fee. A Private plan with a negotiated flat fee is available. Hosted has three plans — Start $49/mo (3 seats), Growth $99/mo (7 seats), Professional $199/mo (15 seats) — with metered extra seats at $20/$18/$15 per seat respectively. Unlimited AI conversations on every plan.
How long does deployment take?
Hosted is live in minutes: connect your Azure AI Foundry agent during onboarding and start chatting. Self-Hosted is a guided marketplace deployment — the managed application deploys the stack into an Azure subscription you control, then you configure your AI prompt and Teams integration through the admin dashboard. No infrastructure expertise required.
Can we use multiple AI agents?
Yes, on Point of Contact — Hosted. Configure different AI agents for different purposes — general support, billing inquiries, technical troubleshooting — each backed by an agent in your own Azure AI Foundry, with handoffs between them mid-conversation. Self-Hosted ships with a single configurable AI agent, backed by Azure AI Foundry in your own tenant.
Is there a free trial?
Contact our team for a personalized demo and trial options tailored to your organization's needs. The Azure Marketplace listing is coming soon.
How do I contact the Point of Contact AI team?
Use the contact form on this page or email us directly at info@innovations24.com. We typically respond within one business day.
Can I use Point of Contact AI for internal employee support?
Absolutely. The Internal Helpdesk scenario is purpose-built for this. On Point of Contact — Hosted, enable visitor sign-in via Microsoft Entra External ID so employees authenticate before chatting, and configure specialized AI agents for IT, HR, and operations. Support staff manage everything in Teams.
How does visitor sign-in work?
Visitor sign-in runs through Microsoft Entra External ID and is always optional — anonymous chat stays available. Social sign-in with Google, Facebook, or Apple works through identity providers your organization configures in its own External ID tenant. Signed-in visitors get archived conversation history across sessions and a private per-user file space, with files shared as chat bubbles in both directions. Included with Point of Contact — Hosted.
What is the difference between B2B and B2C deployment?
B2B deployment is optimized for business customer support — with proactive triggers, account-level context, and agent routing. B2C deployment uses an embeddable widget for anonymous website visitors with no login required. Both scenarios run on the same platform, and you can use them simultaneously.
How do proactive event triggers work?
External systems can start conversations automatically through Azure Service Bus trigger sources. When an event arrives, it is routed to the AI agent you mapped to that trigger source, which opens a server-initiated conversation on the agent dashboard for triage and follow-up.
Why is this considered future-proof?
On Hosted, the AI runs against agents in your own Azure AI Foundry — Microsoft's unified AI platform — so as Foundry advances, your agents advance with it. On Self-Hosted, updates are customer-initiated and signature-verified: the publisher publishes signed releases, and you choose when to install each one. The publisher can never push changes into your deployment.
